About RaqsDreams
RaqsDreams was founded in 2018 — a dream born from a love of dance, a vision for connection, and a wish to turn movement into empowerment. The name itself reflects this intention: “raqs” in Arabic means “dance.” So, RaqsDreams is quite literally “Dance Dreams” — a place where passion, artistry, and dreams meet, and where every dancer is invited to discover their own story through movement.
From its earliest days in Bengaluru, RaqsDreams has grown beyond a local studio—evolving into a global, inclusive platform, now offering classes in Berlin and online for dancers of all backgrounds.
Our Journey & Signature Projects

2019 — First stage production, “Cosmic Paradise.” Our very first full-scale stage production, “Cosmic Paradise,” marked the beginning of RaqsDreams as an artistic collective. It was our way of weaving together dance, story, emotion, and community.

2020 — “Cosmic Paradise 2.0” goes online. When the world shifted, so did we. Embracing change, we transformed our vision into a virtual offering: “Cosmic Paradise 2.0,” an online production that brought dancers and audiences together beyond geographic boundaries.

2021 — Multiple award-winning productions. That year, RaqsDreams gained recognition on international stages and festivals: our group performances won awards, including Show Bellydance Queen Group, Best Group, Creativity Awards, and more. These accomplishments confirmed that our vision — of blending tradition and innovation, technique and soul — truly resonated.
Since then, RaqsDreams has continued producing both group and solo works, nurturing a global community where dance is more than performance — it is expression, healing, self-love, empowerment.
